Prepare for the end of the EU transition period

2020 to 2021 transition

The UK Government has launched a major new “Transition” public information campaign called “The UK’s new start: let’s get going,” to give everyone the facts that they will need to be ready for the end of the EU transition period on 1 January 2021.

A straightforward checker tool at gov.uk/transition will quickly identify the specific steps any business or individual needs to take to be ready now. You can also sign up for a Business Readiness Transition Bulletin – a regular bulletin that provides information on major announcements, recently published guidance and webinar dates (when they are announced). The webinars will provide ‘one-stop-shop’ information on the readiness actions that businesses in the following sectors should take to prepare for the end of the transition period: Aerospace; Automotive; Chemicals; Construction, Infrastructure & Housing; Consumer Goods; Electronics & Machinery; Life Sciences; Metals & Other Materials; Professional & Business Services; Retail.

If you would like further guidance, please contact our national enquiry gateway which would be happy to point you in the right direction.
